Onboarding Community Meetup - October 26/27 2023

Thank you all for attending our most recent Onboarding and Upskilling Your Team Community Meeting which went over documentation. We had three wonderful peer-led presentations and our presenters have been willing to share some of the examples they demonstrated in the meeting!

Carolina Roque from the Japanese American Cultural and Community Center (JACCC) gave a presentation on how to learn from your mistakes and jump start your documentation process with limited staff and resources. You can view her presentation and resources here.

Sara Funk from the Ogunquit Playhouse presented on templates and gave specific documentation examples that she has created for her organization. You can find four examples of templates and documentation below.

Jon-Paul Schaut from the Guthrie Theater presented on tackling internal organizational specific Tessitura Training Manuals, with emphasis on how these manuals use a combo of text, visuals and tactile activities to accommodate different learning styles. You can find one of the chapters from the theater's 9-chapter, 52-page (front and back) front-facing training manual for their specialists below.

We have also attached some of the questions and answers that were posed in the chat, along with some stats surrounding how many people our attendees train.
