Hi everyone,
We did the point update to v15.2.34 last week (we are RAMP/Hosted). Everything looked fine in testing, and as it was "only a service pack update", I didn't really have any qualms about going to Live. Ever since the live update happened, though... users are getting a TON of daily dashboard emails, even if they weren't subbed to them (I have a RIDICULOUS number of them). Support just told me that that's a defect with the upgrade process, that wasn't mentioned ahead of time, and that the onus is on the dashboard owners to check each dash and unsubscribe people. And today, a 3rd party emailed me saying that they were receiving scheduled reports not meant for them. I checked the report schedule, and their email address is not attached to any current schedules. Has anyone else done this service pack update and had it not go smoothly? We've all talked about the many, many issues with v16 update, but I (mistakenly) thought a small service pack update would be smoother...
Here's that ticket resolution:
This is Yessenia with Tessitura Support - Thank you for reaching out to the Customer Care line to report the "New Shared Dashboard" emails. It was reported that users have received about 24 emails this morning regarding the shared dashboard. Following our call, I found information regarding these emails. This is directly related to your Development environment upgrade to v16 this morning. These emails can be ignored and/or deleted. Our development team believes this issue is related to a defect that causes these emails to send during an upgrade. We're currently working on a fix to prevent this issue from recurring during future upgrades, and you can follow the progress of this defect as DEV-15872 on our defect list in our help system.
Solidarity! We are in the same boat, Kathleen. We needed to update to .34 because we did the cutover to Tessitura Merchant Services on Thursday, so we updated to .34 last Wednesday, and every morning since then we have all been receiving >20 dashboard deliveries, including for Example dashboards that are included in the Tessitura Dashboards folder, which would obviously never have been scheduled to deliver at all. We have a ticket open, as I'm sure you do too, so I'll check in here if we hear anything!
Kathleen Smith said:I reeeeealllly wish Tessitura were more forthcoming about the issues.
Hear, hear.
Hello everyone. First, we are very sorry for the disruption this has caused all of you. To be clear, the scope of this specific issue is related to v15.2.34 upgrades and emails being sent out to everyone to whom the dashboard has been shared, regardless of if they were subscribed to emails or not. We uncovered this issue late Friday and development has already created a fix for it that is currently in QA as we speak. We hope to have this situation resolved ASAP - hopefully in the next day. There is not currently a known issue with dashboards not working at all; if that is what you are seeing post-upgrade, it is not related to this issue and we want to hear from you via a support ticket as soon as possible so we can look at the details. Again, we apologize for the mess this has made of your inboxes and the added stress that comes whenever something like this happens. If you need help turning off these emails, please open a support ticket and we can assist you. We are working as quickly as we can so as not to impact upcoming upgrades.
We have Tessitura Extended Services and we meet every other week. We were also told about the Sisense Upgrade and that some v16 updates would now be available in v15 (specific to Analytics). I WAS excited...until hearing this. We are also big Analytics auto-report users, so this make me nervous, as well.
Here's a fun nugget to add to this - my 3rd party just emailed me an example of the report he incorrectly received, and it's a dashboard. Matt Belanger, I asked in my ticket, but is there a global kill switch for all of the dashboards? I'd rather nobody receive them than outside parties receive my internal sales data
Hi Kathleen,
We had this exact same issue happen with our V16 upgrade (it was about 40+ emails each night I think). It took awhile but support did get to the bottom of it. One of the things that helped me troubleshoot some of this: If you are the owner of a dashboard, open it, remove the users and turn off notifications, then republish. Then, the next day (if the issue resolved), add the users back in and turn email notifications back on.
For the most part, this resolved the emails that were coming from our own dashboards. But we had no control over the generic (out-of-the-box) Tessitura dashboards that were sending to everyone nightly. That issue was resolved by Tessitura support.
Hope this help!

Unfortunately no, Kathleen. You will need to individually turn this off for each dashboard by going to the Share settings for it and either selecting Unsubscribe All or deselecting each individual by clicking the little envelope icon. If this hasn't already been shared with you via your support ticket I'm certain it will be! Sorry there isn't a better way currently.
We had this happen when they migrated analytics into test for us in our v.16 upgrade. I looked back at my open ticket and they said it was because of the migration into test, and that "the team should have a way of preventing it by the time we go live". It didn't happen when we went live. Not sure if that's helpful, but just wanted to share.
N.
We are just getting into using Analytics. Our TEST is 15.2.34, but our PROD is still 15.2.33. With all of the issues that everyone is describing, this is making me not want to have our PROD environment matching TEST and get the upgrade. I don't know when the shift happened, but is it ok for them to be different? And will it auto-update if I need to do a copy over from LIVE to TEST or vice versa.
I'm just trying to save my museum a lot of headaches for now. The next update we do will hopefully we to v16.
