Issues with service pack update

Hi everyone,

We did the point update to v15.2.34 last week (we are RAMP/Hosted).  Everything looked fine in testing, and as it was "only a service pack update", I didn't really have any qualms about going to Live.  Ever since the live update happened, though...  users are getting a TON of daily dashboard emails, even if they weren't subbed to them (I have a RIDICULOUS number of them).  Support just told me that that's a defect with the upgrade process, that wasn't mentioned ahead of time, and that the onus is on the dashboard owners to check each dash and unsubscribe people.  And today, a 3rd party emailed me saying that they were receiving scheduled reports not meant for them.  I checked the report schedule, and their email address is not attached to any current schedules.

Has anyone else done this service pack update and had it not go smoothly?  We've all talked about the many, many issues with v16 update, but I (mistakenly) thought a small service pack update would be smoother...

  • , thank you so much for letting us know! I just happened to spend this morning reviewing the changes from v15.2.32 to v15.2.34 in our test environment and all looks fine, but of course we wouldn't know about any issues with Analytics until we upgraded PROD. Please don't beat yourself up about not catching this in TEST -- there was no way you could! That being said, I treat every service pack upgrade the same as a version upgrade; for us it's the same review and testing process (the SPs just take less time :)) -- but either way Analytics isn't something we can review until the changes hit PROD.

Can someone from TN speak to the Analytics issue? Should we be holding off on moving to v15.2.34 if we use Analytics?

  • We received a messaged recommending that we skip v15.2.34 because we have the custom RMA cube, but that was the only reason stated.  Someone at the last analytic Coffee meeting said that this version actually updates the Sisense version very significantly?

  • We have Tessitura Extended Services and we meet every other week. We were also told about the Sisense Upgrade and that some v16 updates would now be available in v15 (specific to Analytics). I WAS excited...until hearing this. We are also big Analytics auto-report users, so this make me nervous, as well.
