Ticket Splitting/Ticket Forwarding

Hi there

(This is my first post in this forum, so apologies if this is the wrong place to post this!) Has anyone introduced this feature - customers being able to forward tickets on to other performance attendees - into their organisation successfully? If you have, how have you found it and what feedback, if any, have you received?

    Happy first forum post!

    I know this is functionality in TN Mobile Plus (although truth be told, we aren't using this function yet). I imagine if you or someone on your team is tech-savvy, you could figure out the code behind this functionality and do it in Tessitura. It is possible to have a user change an order to another person in the client so, I'm sure with some fancy custom code, this could be accomplished by patrons via your website. You'd have to way all the possibilities of problems with this type of functionality, but as the saying goes, almost anything is possible in Tessitura with the right code.

    I've not heard of any organizations actually doing this outside of TN Mobile Plus so I'll be intrigued to see if there are any other responses.

  • There is a function in TNMP to forward a ticket to an email - troubleshooting this feature with the support this week. Currently, errors out.

    This is purely hypothetical, as I've only transferred transactions without an owner to one with a record, but I believe you could just change the owner number?

  • Hi Sabina, apologies for such a delayed response. Did you manage to get this resolved? If so, how is it working? Have many customers been using this feature?

  • Thank you everyone for such helpful responses, they're all much appreciated. I need to talk to my colleagues about our options regarding TNMP and custom coding, but it is still good to hear about other people's experiences with sharing/forwarding tickets. If you, or any other organisations you know of, use it it would be great to get in contact to hear more about how it has worked and how customers have responded.
