comp Rsn

on our ticket order page we have a button saying "Comp Rsn" which we believe means comp reason, we would like to use this but unfortunately are not sure how, when we click on it nothing happens.

  • Hi Anna,

You need to create some comp reasons in tr_comp_code and then associate them with the comp price type in tx_price_type_comp_code

Then when you select this price in an order the box will pop up asking you to select a reason.

  • Anna,

There are 2 tables in System Tables that you can enter comp codes and comp code reasons to be used for certain price types.  The first table is tr_comp_code (Reasons that can be attached to sales in particular Price Types in Ticketing.  See TX_PRICE_TYPE_COMP_CODE) and the other is tx_price_type_comp_code (This table maps comp codes from tr_comp_code to price_types from tr_price_type.  If comp codes exist for a price type, then any lineitem added with this price type will trigger a window asking for a comp code.  (Originally this was only for comp tickets, hence the name.  It has been expanded and is available for any price type.).

    Hope this helps.

    Teresa

You can also look at comp codes in T-stats if you have that.  (sorry it took me so long to respond..I was out for the holiday!!)  It is in the Tickets Cube- Ticket order details, Price Type Reason.  I have a report set up for each show so I can see how the comps and other prices we have reasons on are doing.

Otherwise, the custom report is the way to go or I used to use a custom element in list manager and/or output set builder to get the information I needed before T-stats.

    HTH!

    Hi Anna

The above posts are all very helpful, but I'll add in that you also need to check the Reason Ind box in TR_Price_Type

    Have fun!
