I'm new with Tessitura at the Virginia Symphony Orchestra and I have little questions that come up every day that I have no idea how to find the answers for. I do not find any resources online helpful, they confuse me even more than I was. I come from a history with ETix, so this is a huge change for me. Is there any specific phone number I can call or person I can email that can give me help with my problems in a very timely manner? Right now my struggles are with discounts and promo codes, as well as trying to figure out how to promp constituents with a message after ticket sales. Thanks.
HI Jonathan,
Welcome to Tessitura Network first and foremost!
I understand how frustrating it can be to self-teach using Tessitura as it is such a huge piece of software. What I would suggest is posting your questions to the forum. Tessitura Network staff members as well as users from around the world watch these forums. You'll see that you can get pretty rapid responses from fellow users as well as Network staff members. Also, I suggest using help that is built directly into Tessitura. I use that all the time and I've been using Tessi for awhile now. That is always my first "go to" when I'm not sure how to do something. Then I'll post in the forums. What's really great about the forums is getting user generated ways to accomplish tasks and building relationships with your fellow Tessitura users.
You can also open a TASK ticket I would imagine but that, generally, is more for system support when things are not working.
Feel free to add me to your Outlook address book and I'm happy to answer questions as quickly as I can or point you in the direction of where to look for help.
Best,
Christopher Cuhel, Database Coordinator

Hi Jonathan:
Welcome! I too understand the level of frustration you have. I come from using nine other ticketing software platforms before Tessitura and had a mountain of challenges self-teaching Tessitura but there are a great group of folks here on the forum that freely offer their expertise and it is far reaching thankfully!
We do multiple promo codes concurrently across many performances so please feel free to e-mail me direct or through the forum and I would be happy to help!!

Oh yes. It's a huge system to take on and try to self learn.I'll go ahead and add you into my outlook and I'll message you with any problems I have. It's good to know that this forum has such quick responses too. I didn't know what to expect when I first came across this forum. It's great to see so many willing to help. I'll go ahead and put some of the questions I have on this forum and see the responses I'll get right now. Thank you!
Hello! Thanks for reaching out. Our consortium leader just had a family emergency so she's out for a little bit. There's been such a great response on here that I'm already in contact with a few people, so I'll keep it with them as to not overwhelm my mailbox. But if all else fails I'll be reaching out to you. I've tried my best at the help topics, classes, forums, but I'm so new with this system that I have trouble even understanding the terminology being used half the time. I'm confident that in time I'll be a pro, but these first few weeks with the system are a challenge. Thank you!
Hi Jonathan, have you checked out the Getting Started in Ticketing page here? Sometimes folks don't know the Getting Started with Tessitura pages are there and they can act as a good orientation.

It is terrific to see how the community is at the ready to help each other with questions about Tessitura on the Forums. However, I wanted to note here that while the Forums are an excellent place to discuss "use cases" of Tessitura features and to reach out to other users to see how they are solving business needs with the software, problems encountered when using Tessitura or questions about how to utilize Tessitura functionality are best addressed by reaching out to Network Support. Each organization has designated support contacts that can submit help tickets in the online TASK helpdesk to receive assistance from Network Support. Jonathan, I will reach out to you directly to discuss providing you with the assistance you need.
