Hi all,
We have a case where a credit card number was typed incorrectly into Tessy, and it turns out it was a valid card for another individual. We have refunded that person and will recharge the correct credit card number. Does anyone know how I can delete that incorrect card number off the constituent record so that it doesn't get selected for use in the future?
Thanks!
Beth
Beth,
You are able to delete credit cards from the Transactions/Credit Cards radio button. If you don't have a red X there, then you need to have security updated to be able to delete.
Michele
I think, if cc account has been used for payment, your option is to de-activate cc for that customer and it will not show up.

I have the same problem. Today someone charged one patron's credit card in another patron's account. The amount was actually correct but there must be some way to transfer this payment to the other/correct patron's account without having to refund it or place it on account.
Beth, you can inactivate a credit card … the cc won’t be available for payment selection.

I returned the money to a gift certificate and used that gift certificate in the correct patron’s account. So no refund was done (the amount was correct just under the wrong name) and I didn’t have to recharge her. I was actually able to delete the credit card in the Transactions/Credit card field in the patron’s account and put in a bunch of notes in Research.
