Adding an action to a CSI through a report

Hi

I think I've asked this question before on Listserves but don't know whether I got a response - and if I did I've forgotten it!

I'm looking to run a report on a group of open CSIs that, once run, adds an action to the CSI and closes it. Is this possible? If so, can anyone share a script or any pearls of wisdom about how to do it?

Thanks

Siobhan

  • Siobhan,

Take a look at the Close Customer Service Issues Shared Report - Solution 173 on TASK:

    Close Customer Service Issues Report
This utility report can be used to close a group of CSIs given at least a list and an
activity type. There are more options for filtering (including Perf/Pkg) as well as a
    Review option.

  • Thanks Ryan

However, I need the report to run over a category rather than activity type as our activites are different brochures - this will then (in my mind!) print a different code on each label to indicate what brochure needs to be sent. It is probably just a case of rewriting that report myself.

  • You can probably strip out the activity type requirement from that report and make the requirement simply activity category.  Just a thought!

  • We use the 'CSI information request labels' report.

We have all our brochures listed as information requests and when the labels are printed it closes the CSI and prints the request type on the label.  The format is not great but it doesn't take long to export and re-format.

    I think it's a standard one?

  • Have you looked at the standard CSI Information Request Labels utility?  It is designed to print mailing labels based on CSIs for things such as brochure requests and then close the CSIs.  It will select any CSI with the Information Request category.  And then you can use the CSI Activity to distinguish between different requested information, such as different types of brochures.  You can review the documentation on this report using this link:  http://www.tessituranetwork.com/~/media/Documentation/Reports/CSI_Information_Request_Labels.ashx

  • Thank you for the referal to solution 173 in the shared report space.  I pulled it down, but the .pbl file appears to be empty when I pull it over to infomaker.  Is anyone who is using this willing to send me a copy?

  • Hi Sadie,

This report was created with an old version of Infomaker and needed to be migrated.  Generally you will be prompted to do this when you open the library in Infomaker.  I went ahead and migrated this particular library, so try re-downloading it and see if it works for you.

    Thanks,

    Bryan

  • Thanks Bryan.  It works great.  Glad to know the fix if it happens in the future.
