Promo Codes not available in Offers?

I've setup an offer GOOG25. I built the price map, source code, inserted a line under TR_WEB_SOURCE_NO, associated the price types with the price maps on every individual performance, added the right to Security.

Despite doing this however, when I go to Ticketing Setup > Production Elements, none of the GOOG25 price types are available for selection under the Mode of Sale tab. Did I miss a step? I've check all my dates & they're all set to expire way far into the future...

  • Are the price types associated to the MOS in TX_MOS_PRICETYPE?

  • Sera,

Did you associate the price type with the MOS in the tx_mos_pricetype table?

Check TR_MOS_Pricetype – make sure the price types are associated to the correct MOS

And also allocations in facility mgr – make sure you assign an allocation to the new MOS (even if it’s just the general unassigned seat).

  • You would need to go to season manager and then season maintenance. Once there set the parameters to bring up the perfs that get the discount. You would then select the offers tab and associate that source code to the price type as an offer. That should make it work.

Here are the things I always check:

Is the Price Type you are using associated with the MOS you are using?

Did you place an Offer on the Perf?

    Are the Offer Dates Active?

Does the MOS have proper Allocations?

Are both the Price Type and MOS available to Web User in Security?

Is the proper MOS associated in TR_WEB_SOURCE_NO?

    Hi there,

We’re quite new to  it all but here’s my broad checklist based on a helpful past post. (I’m on the brink of creating multiple “promo” MOS so the customer isn’t seeing all price types available in the one current “Promotions MOS”. Slippery slope I fear so keen to hear more on this thread!)

    Ina

    1.        Create a source code in Appeals. Ensure the end date is either blank, or the end of the promotion.

    2.        Promote list (if applicable)

    3.        In Campaigns>References>Mode of Sale - create your promotional MOS for the web if it is not yet created

    4.        Create price types TR_Price Type (if applicable)

    5.        Link the price type to the promotional web MOS in TX_MOS_PRICE_TYPE. (The price type you use for the promotion must not be available in the default web MOS otherwise everyone will be able to access it)

    6.        Security - enable the price types and MOS for the web user.

    7.        In Facility Manager>Hold/Alloc Map - assign the promotional MOS to the Allocation map if it hasn’t already been assigned.

    8.        In Ticketing Setup>Performance - add the price type and promo MOS. Check Dates! (Promote the offers if applicable)

    9.        Add the MOS to the fee rules if a fee should be added.

    10.    Enable the MOS for the relevant Extras/Dining performance.

    11.    Link TR_WEB_SOURCE_NO to the Source Code created and the MOS you want it the promotional code to be available in. Then name the promotional code – this will be the word or number that should be typed in on the website to access the special MOS. The parent key is Tessitura Web.

  • Ah that's what it was! Thank you so much for your help - got everything working now! My last question is... can we make the price type available for box office to process? Right now the price type isn't showing up as an option - is this method exclusively for the web?

No it isn’t exclusive. Add the Box Office modes of sale to the table with the new price type.

  • You can associate the price type to any MOS you want in tx_mos_pricetype. Just add another line for each MOS-price type association.
