Hi all,
I cannot make scatter maps in Analytics work. All I get is the below screenshot. I use primary address postcode short, primary address country in the location fields and ticket paid count in size. I filter by production season and I only ask for the top 20 postcodes to be returned (apparently scatter maps are not great with large volumes of data). Before I raise a ticket with Tessitura, has anybody made them work or do you have any ideas on what I could be doing wrong?
Thank you,
Thanos
Hi Thanos
Realise you're coming here before support, but we'd be happy to help if you'd like to open up a ticket with us! Initial thoughts could mean a communication issue with Mapbox as no imagery is loading, however we can help direct you to the logs to help troubleshoot that further if needed.
Thanks
Chloe

You might try relaxing the Top 20 Postal codes filter. Try filtering by say a performance or something else.
You might also try scrolling out to see where in the world you are seeing.
You might try to change your map into a pivot table to see what the data is that's being presented on the map.
Hi Tom,
I've tried all of these and I still get the same thing. Only when I include every postcode (not UK only) I could see the dots populating to what looked like a global map (the map didn't appear though). I think I need to raise it with Tessitura.
Thanks Chloe, I'll raise a ticket shortly.
Hi Thanos, we're also working on this with help from Tessitura Network. We did need to whitelist the Mapbox IP address and also adjust the Location fields to include either:
Primary Address Postcode (or Postcode Short), followed by Primary Address State, followed by Primary Address Country
Primary Address Postcode (or Postcode Short), followed by Primary Address City, followed by Primary Address Country
Primary Address Postcode (or Postcode Short), followed by Primary Address City, followed by Primary Address State, followed by Primary Address Country
It hasn't worked for us yet, but these are all things to try.
Katie
Hi Katie,
I was in the Analytic coffee conference call last Friday and Chris suggested the above options. I've tried all of them but sadly they do not work. I've raised a ticket so hopefully we'll get it resolved soon.
Thanks,Thanos
I've also discovered that Tessitura Analytics is limited to 5000 points for locations. If you are trying to plot more than this many points, Tessitura Analytics will randomly report on the first 5000 locations.
