This is an urgent request - does anyone has an HTML email confirmation template that shows refunds correctly? And if so would you be willing to share the code?? Right now we can show returned ticket amount but as we are refunding service fees as well for cancelled performances in this case, that amount is not their full refund amount. What I really want is to be able to show the actually transaction amount so we don't get a lot of follow up from customers who think we didn't process their refund correctly!!
Thanks so much,
Sarah CoviePortTIX
We would be soooo grateful too!

Hi everyone! We wanted to let you know that we hear this request. Our software development team has pivoted to work on functionality that will help with this. We are developing and testing new features and will roll them out as soon as they are ready. I can say it will not be available this week in case that helps you plan; for the most up-to-date information, please visit our business continuity page. I really appreciate our community right now and we are here to help as much as possible. Best,

Thanks for the update Michael - will definitely be keeping an eye out for updates!
Hi Everyone,
A quick update on this - We are working on a new sample HTML template for order confirmations that clearly displays refund details. We anticipate this being a part of our next Service Packs, 15.0.16 and 15.1.9.
Thanks,

Awesome - is there an expected release date on those yet?
Thanks so much,Sarah CoviePortTIX
Hi Sarah Covie, Not yet, but as it progresses we will be sure to post back and let you know. This service pack is high priority, as we understand the time sensitivity and value of the included features to our members. More information will be emailed and posted as we have it.
Thanks
Chris
Thanks again! We really appreciate all the hard work being put into this
Hi Sarah,
Far from perfect but I modified the out of the box TNEW order confirmation for refund/donation/exchange/gift certificate use.
To make it work we've had to process refunds, donations, exchanges and gift certificates in a new order so that it doesn't pick up any other ticket info or transaction info from the original order.
We use an on account method for our donations as well.
Happy to share with you or anyone else if you're interested.
Cheers,
Thomas
Hi Thomas,
If you are willing to share, I'd love to see that. I've done some modifications on our Templates to try to get closer to showing all details, but I'haven't gotten to that level.
Lori
Thanks - I've made similar modified templates, but our problem is that we are refunding Service Fees for COVID-19 cancellations, and we haven't found a way to show the returned fees in the HTML templates. It sounds like this is in the works to come in an upcoming service pack though so for now we just have a disclaimer on the email indicated that amounts reflect the refunded ticket value only not including refunded fees...

Like I said we decided to process refunds etc into a new order so that the confirmation wouldn't pick up any 'extra' info but it can be modified for use if you want to use it in existing orders.
With the refund 'block' it is essentially setup to pick up any negative payments/transactions with specific payment types e.g. Visa, Mastercard etc. Not the best way but it works for us. It also doesn't detail the items being refunded, e.g. fee vs performance

Thanks Thomas - this was definitely useful in showing at least the correct refund payment amounts, which I think is what most customers care about! I might just have to let go of trying to display the fees specifically.
Thanks again for sharing!Sarah
