This is an urgent request - does anyone has an HTML email confirmation template that shows refunds correctly? And if so would you be willing to share the code?? Right now we can show returned ticket amount but as we are refunding service fees as well for cancelled performances in this case, that amount is not their full refund amount. What I really want is to be able to show the actually transaction amount so we don't get a lot of follow up from customers who think we didn't process their refund correctly!!
Thanks so much,
Sarah CoviePortTIX
Hi Sarah,
Far from perfect but I modified the out of the box TNEW order confirmation for refund/donation/exchange/gift certificate use.
To make it work we've had to process refunds, donations, exchanges and gift certificates in a new order so that it doesn't pick up any other ticket info or transaction info from the original order.
We use an on account method for our donations as well.
Happy to share with you or anyone else if you're interested.
Cheers,
Thomas
Hi Thomas,
If you are willing to share, I'd love to see that. I've done some modifications on our Templates to try to get closer to showing all details, but I'haven't gotten to that level.
Thanks,
Lori
Here you go!

Like I said we decided to process refunds etc into a new order so that the confirmation wouldn't pick up any 'extra' info but it can be modified for use if you want to use it in existing orders.
With the refund 'block' it is essentially setup to pick up any negative payments/transactions with specific payment types e.g. Visa, Mastercard etc. Not the best way but it works for us. It also doesn't detail the items being refunded, e.g. fee vs performance

Thanks Thomas - this was definitely useful in showing at least the correct refund payment amounts, which I think is what most customers care about! I might just have to let go of trying to display the fees specifically.
Thanks again for sharing!Sarah
Not a problem at all! We made the sacrifice of showing fee vs ticket amounts. But in our case we only had one cancelled production, at this stage... so could include further details as plain text
