Hi there,
I am attempting to install a Boca printer to print orders from Mac. I have the Boca installed, printed a test page from the print queue, and it shows up under the printer set-up menu in Tess but doesn't show up as a ticket printer.
Any idea how to fix this? I have restarted Tess, Citrix, deleted it and re-added the printer, and tried to re-add it with a generic driver. No luck!
Any tips appreciated! Hopefully this is the correct section for my question.
Thanks!
Madison
HI Madison, did you set each user's Preferences, under File, Preferences in Tessitura with that Boca selected?
Hi Terry! Thanks for reaching out. The problem is that the printer shows up in Tess under the "Printer Setup..." menu but when I go to preferences, no ticket printers are available!
Have you made sure that when you go to the Printer Properties and the Advance tab the Driver there is set to generic. You can sometimes install it with the Generic driver but I've found it doesn't always stick and I have to change it after I've installed it. This usually makes it appear.

Hi Caryl,
I am working with a Mac computer and these aren't options I can find. Are you using a mac as well?
Thanks :)
No sorry, I missed that you were on a MAC. If you go to the Printer in the Hardware section, can you in the IP section then select the Generic Driver in the Use section? That might work, but I don't have a MAC with a BOCA attached.
Hi Madison,
Thank you for your question! In order to print tickets from a Mac (in RAMP or locally) a Windows emulator application (like Parallels) needs to run on the Mac. Macs do not natively recognize the Generic/Text printer driver and it is only when a Windows emulator is installed on the Mac that the Generic/Text driver will be recognized so that the user will see these printers as ticket printers in Tessitura.
I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions, thank you!
