Hi all. I am in the midst of my first subscription rollover at Edmonton Opera and am wondering if anyone has any advice or guidance on how to ensure minimal errors occur? The only written guides I have are the bulky Tessitura manual pages and screenshots of what my predecessor did last season.
Is this all I need to be successful? Or is rollover trickier than appears?
Any assistance at all would be greatly appreciated!

I would practice rolling in your test environment first. This way if there are mistakes, you can adjust them before you roll in live.
I agree with Amber - definitely do everything Test so you see what (if any) errors you have, then make all fixes in Live, do a Live to Test copy and try the rollovers again. The rollovers themselves are very easy and straightforward, but it's all the set up and proofing that you have to do beforehand that is the hardest part (at least in my experience). You also have to decide whether you'll be using the price type mapping system table or not, and also if you're going to have one rollover set for all your packages, or if you can split them up in some way. For example, at TSO we have about 16 different packages, and I tend to do a rollover set for each package. Feel free to reach out if you have any other questions. Good luck!
Piggy Backing on what Amber and Anastassia said: test, test, test. Do as many Live-to-Test copies as you need to in order to test it enough to not have any problems. It may annoy other users in your organization if they use Test a lot, but it's better for them to be annoyed for a week than to have a botched rollover.
And definitely feel free to break down the rollover sets. We have four full-season packages, and 16 partial season packages that are available after the renewal period, so we always roll everyone into the full season packages. So for instance, my rollover sets are usually broken into how many shows were in your previous season package (4, 3, etc). I roll the full season subs for a particular package day first, then I do the partials for that day, then repeat with the other three package days.
Feel free to email or message me if any of that was confusing :-)
Good luck!
In addition to what the others said, since this is your first one, while it might add a little to the time, make sure to document everything you do so that you can create a detailed checklist for next season. That will make next year's RollOvers go much faster (though I would still recommend doing at least one in TEST even next year before you go forward in LIVE).
Victoria - rollovers can be frightening for the first time however once you've done a few you will see they are quite straight forward! If you still need assistance email me and I can provide you with the documentation I have!
