Hi All-
We go live in September, and after just returning from TLCC 2018 I'm super excited. However, I still need to train about 20 front-line staff. Does anyone have any training manuals, vocab cheat sheets, or anything else that they have found useful for training? We currently do not have a manual for our current system so I am starting from the ground up.
Hi Kelly,
I usually have the new folks go through the online training that Tessitura has on the website, a little at a time. Then I use the test environment to go through orders with them.
We use a Google Drive sheet that is set up as a checklist of both pre-hire items and post-hire items (such as Tessitura specifics and general office systems). I'd be happy to send you an example if you'd like. We also have an addendum to our company handbook that is specifically for our office so we can call out certain department only items. We hire roughly 6-8 students and 2-3 part-time temp assistants each year so we are constantly training and updating our processes.
Thanks!
That would be great! I want to make sure we start on the right foot, but not knowing what I need to know makes it hard.
Super! I'll send it to you in the morning.

I would love a copy of this as well. timmink@thewhiting.com
Kelly,The Kentucky Center has also developed a thorough set of training materials for our part-time box office staff. If you still need anything after reviewing the materials from Anne, let me know. I'd be happy to share (but I don't want to overload you with redundant info). Best!
I'd love to see what you have done. I'm hoping to take bits and pieces to match it to our offerings and staff demographics.
Would you mind sharing that with me as well? I am looking for ways to tighten up our training manual.
No problem. Would you mind sending me your email? I'll send to something to you and Neal. Thanks!
Disregard- I see it above. Will send shortly.
Me too, if you don't mind!

I would be interested in receiving samples of training plans as well!
