Refund email confirmation/receipt

Hi there,

Does anyone have an email confirmation that works with refunds? We were attempting to use the out of the box TNEW order confirmation, but it lists the refunds as donations, which is not quite right...

    HI David:

    We struggle with this as well.  While not optimal I have our sales associates send the confirmations to themselves first, alter the text, changing "Donation" to "Refund" and send that along to the buyer.  It's a few extra steps but we also have a very strict no refund policy so we use it infrequently.

    I would love to hear how others are getting around this!

    Hmm that's a workaround from hell! But thanks.

    Hi Everyone, 

    A quick update on this - We are working on a new sample HTML template for order confirmations that clearly displays refund details. We anticipate this being a part of our next Service Packs, 15.0.16 and 15.1.9.

    Hi David,

    Far from perfect but I modified the out of the box TNEW order confirmation for refund/donation/exchange/gift certificate use.

    To make it work we've had to process refunds, donations, exchanges and gift certificates in a new order so that it doesn't pick up any other ticket info or transaction info from the original order.

    We use an on account method for our donations as well.

    Hi Everyone, 
    Tessitura v15.1 Service Pack 9 and Tessitura V15.0 Service Pack 16 is now available. This service pack includes an update to the Event Cancellation Utility (released March 13, 2020) to enable you to efficiently refund tickets to a credit card en masse, or to apply those funds to a donation, on-account payment method, or a gift certificate. It also includes the new Event Cancellation Receipts Email Utility, allowing you to send bulk emails notifying customers of refunds. In addition, this service pack includes a new HTML template for transactional refund emails.
