If you put a value to your comp tickets, would you let me know what and how? We have been asked to track the value of our comp ticket giveaways so we can record the total of the value in reports, but I want to make sure the value does not add to actual income receipts. Please let me know if anyone out there has a way of setting up a value system in Tessitura and if you can include that comp value with comp totals in any of the Tessitura reports, without the value skewing the actual ticket sale income. Thank you.
Laura
Hi Laura,
When you go to “season manager” you’ll be in “house view”. You can double click on any performance on the calendar at this point. On that performance overview, you can select the performance summary tab and there is a box that shows how much money has been lost to comps. I’ve not tried to find a report that does this, but you can at least see on a show by show basis how much was lost to comp.

Chris,
Our performance summary tab boxes are all blank! How do you make it so the data fills the summary function?
Also, for the system to calculate the money lost, wouldn’t you need to have a value associated with each comp ticket given away? We currently have no values associated with any of the comps.
Thank you!

I feel foolish – I was looking at an education entry summary. The data fields for a performance are filled……

I imagine it is based on zone and then whatever the default price type is for that zone.

The value attributed to comp seats is the base price for the performance (which is generally set to your full price for a performance).
Laura, if you are on any version of v12, you should check out the Performance Revenue Gain-Loss report, which details how much you lost on tickets sold compared to if you had sold them at the base price. I’m pretty sure you can also do some analysis on this in T-Stats. You might want to check out the T-Stats Recipe books for help there.

Thank you Keven. We currently do not have T-stats installed – is this a standard package that could be done by RAMP?
We are still on v 11.04.

T-Stats is standard and available at no additional cost, but you need to schedule installation through JCA (who provides T-Stats support). You can find details here.
