Hi there,
I imagine this question may have been asked before, but I had difficulty finding it specifically on the forums.
I'm adjusting the way our box office currently prints tickets, and would like to print all will call tickets for a performance starting two days before that performance. I'd like to include box office transactions as well as web transactions in the same batch print. I'm currently on v11. Is there any way to avoid having to run the batch print twice, and include both type of transactions in one batch print?
Thank you!

Hi Kim,
How do you currently set up your batch print jobs? We've always included web orders with our others orders without issue. For Will Call prints we have our Filter section wide open. All Catergories, Deliveries, and MOS with Reprint set to No.
Hi Beth,
Thanks for your response!
I currently have the filters open, except that we change the dates on a rolling basis. I'm more questioning the "Batch Type" underneath the setup. Perhaps I'm misunderstanding what this batch type refers to? Our current options are: Box Office Transactions, Website Transactions, and Development Transactions. To me, that seems that I need to do a batch first for box office transactions, then a 2nd batch for website transactions. I'd like to avoid that if possible.
Thank you for your help - I'm pretty new to Tessitura, so I apologize if I'm misunderstanding something!
I see the confusion now! Under the Setup area that Batch Type parameter is actually for when the batch itself is printed. The Batch Print function will have to open a batch itself to do the print and you're simply telling it what batch type to open. It doesn't restrict orders there.
We specifically built a batch type for printing out our performance Will Call. Maybe this will help you? This can be accomplished in the System Tables TR_BATCH_TYPE, and the assigning security rights to your appropriate staff. We did this to save confusion between ticketing and development batches. Regardless, we are able to print both internet and phone orders from our specifically built batch type. Like the other Beth mentioned, keep your filters open - this shouldn't restrict printing orders based upon method of sale - and select the performance you wish to print. Does this make sense?
Good luck!
I don’t use the Batch print function. I go into the Order Search Screen and choose the show with no filters on Delivery or MOS. I select Paid=Y,Seated=Y,Printed=N. Alphabetize list, select all and check Continuous print. Maybe you want to try that way.

We only have Batch types of Ticketing and Development. All web transactions go in Ticketing, even online donations.
But the order search method of printing doesn’t require batch type so I think it’s a little more flexible.

Hey Kim,
I always had the same question! Whenever you batch print it creates a batch so that dropdown is simply asking what type of batch you want your batch print to create. I always chose ticketing personally.
Hope that helps!
Best,
Jana

When using Order Search, I just noticed that even when I click printed NO it still includes performances that were exchanged out of. If I chose to print tonight's tickets it will include a patron that exchanged out of tonight. I don't know how to batch print any other way.
Order search will print full orders, and the search and filter criteria are always applied to the full order as well. So, if you have an order with an event for today that was exchanged for tomorrow's event (which is still unprinted), the order search by today's event will return the order (even though it was exchanged) and the "Printed: No" filter won't filter it out since the order still has _tomorrow's_ tickets unprinted.
The alternative would be to use the batch ticket print function in the Season Manager module, not in Ticketing Orders. This ensures that tickets will only be printed for the events you select.
