Order page and General tab screen size

Hello,

My workplace has recently switched to wide screen monitors and we've noticed that within Tessitura several of the tabs and pages do not feel up the screen, such as the Order page and the General Tab within a patron's account. They are in fact limited by a border. Unfortunately, while adjusting the screen resolution is a solution to this, it makes using every other program impossible. I cannot find a place in which this is adjustable. I should mention this is still within v10.

Thanks for any help anyone can give.

Maurice

  • Hi Maurice,

I'm not sure if this issue should be taken to tech support or HR, but either way I think help is coming soon.  Chuck wrote a post about Application Scaling in version 11 which is new functionality to help Tessitura fit better with larger displays.

    Jared

  • I'll add to that though - in v11 those same screens do still do not scale out to a full wide screen. I believe that's intentionally designed that way (due to the layout of those screens with side info, etc), but I wouldn't want to put words in Tessitura's mouth.

Has anyone been successful in getting the scaling right for the facility maps? No matter how much we play with the Application Scaling and the Seatmap Font Size, we are not able to show more than 22x80 seats. These settings seem to be making the seats bigger or smaller, but we cannot get the map stretch to show more rows or columns, so our box office people have to constantly scroll around to see all of our seats.

  • I have a similar problem with the seat map scaling. I made a post on the forum about it and I believe Tess is making a fix for it in the next for V11.0.4.

  • Hi Fernando,

There is a 11.0.3 hotfix that may resolve this for you. Look for solution # 45 on TASK and specifically the map_painter_2479.zip file within this solution. It helped improve the situation for us.

  • We had actually tried this hotfix but without any luck. Ideally, we need something that will independently make the seat map frame size bigger without affecting what’s inside so that the box can accommodate more rows and columns.

  • In v10 it was possible (incorrectly) to view 23 rows instead of 22 rows.  That was corrected in v11 back to 22 rows, but since some people had built maps taking advantage of that extra row, the hot fix was added to change things back so that you can see 23 rows again (see this previous thread on the topic which lead to the hot fix).

It is not possible to change the dimensions of the seat map display frame.  23 rows and 80 columns is the maximum size.  If you build your seat maps any bigger, you will have to scroll to view the whole screen.

In version 10 we were able to view AT LEAST 111x32 seats on the seat map. I’m pretty sure we could see even more if we played with the screen DPI but we don’t have v. 10 running anymore to try it. I dug this from an old email, where I count the 111x32. Let me know if the image does not make it through.

  • This is something that was changed when the new scaling feature was added.  The development team tells me they are looking into what they can do to make it operate more like it did in the past, probably for v12.
