Hi all,
I'm working on some data cleanup before V 11, and I'm flummoxed. I'm finding that I can set a particular email as the primary email address and login on record A, and then I am able to enter that same email address on record B. But according to the documentation, and to my previous experience, that shouldn't be possible. Any ideas what I might be missing?
Thanks!
Beth

The same e-mail can live on >1 constituent in T_EADDRESS ("Electronic" address radio button), but I believe the client won't let the same e-mail be used on >1 record in T_CUST_LOGIN ("Login" radio button).
We actually have a handful like that; old records converted from pre-Tessitura data (and outside the client!). I imagine our web site would get confused if anyone tried to use them...
I believe if there is a different Login Type then it will allow it.

Hi Beth,
You can add an email address to as many constituent records as you want, but you can only select is as the email associated with a login once per login type.
Login usernames must be unique, per login type, across all constituents. If you are using email address as the login name (i.e. what you type in the Login field), you can only do that once per login type, but you could still enter that email address as an email address (on the Electronic screen) to as many constituent records as you want.
So the restrictions are on logins, not email addresses.
Make sense?
