Hi Everyone!
Anyone know how to disable PAH ticket delivery for specific performances? We offer a handful of Virtual Programs each year and only want guests to receive the Order Confirmation email. The PAH that follows is a little awkward & superfluous.
Thanks!
Best,
Moriah
Are you on TNEW? Can you use the dynamic shipping table in System Tables and set those performances or productions to HABO only?
Just change the ticket design for the price types to a non-PAH design. You can even choose a blank design if it is virtual.
This is the answer you want, although it is not trivial to plan out and configure, especially if, like us, you have eliminated mail and HABO from your standard options. We have also, like Neil, configured specific PAH designs for use with non-ticketed performances (and "performances") where the PAH ticket just provides instructional text and no bar code.
Hi Moriah,We're on TNEW, and we have a Delivery Method that's just called "N/A - ticket delivery is not available for this event." This has been working well for us for our digital events and other things we process through TNEW that aren't actual performances. Once the order is completed, patrons only receive the order confirmation.
The method we recommend for virtual programs (which can be combined with some of the other methods mentioned here) is to uncheck the Printing checkbox for some or all modes of sale on the performance's mode of sale tab. This is helpful because it will not affect or limit the delivery methods that might be used for other products in the order, and it also prevents the printing of physical tickets on your ticket printers as well. You should definitely add some text to the event description on your website to alert customers that no ticket is delivered so they aren't confused when they get to the delivery method selection page.
I've mentioned this in support tickets before. It seems odd that there is no PAH control via keyword or in MOS at the performance level. The solution is either sending gads of errors to the log or set the Dynamic Delivery method for the performance and triple check that there are no intersections with other dynamic delivery lines. Not ideal.
I've actually built a utility that converts keywords applied by the box office into rows in the TNEW custom table.
I should have guessed
I might come bug you about it in a few months if that's ok
Sure!
