Credit appearing in Tessitura, but not Transcend

Hi all,

We just had a situation where we noticed a credit did not go through. In Tessitura, it looks like everything worked; however, there is no record of the credit in Transcend at all.

I thought that Tessitura would not complete the transaction on its end if it did not work on the Transcend side. However, is that process more error-prone because there are no approval codes involved?

I'm just trying to understand how something like that could happen. Has anyone else experienced this before?

Thanks!

    Hi David,
We had this happen and Tessi support helped us.  They said with credits, no response is given as there is no need to check available funds on the account, so Tessitura can save the order without hearing back from Transcend.

  • Hi David,

We had a problem with credit cards processing through we when ran large batches. Mid-page of page 6 and pages after the credit cards would not process through. We could never pin-point the problem so we stopped running large batches (batches over 5 pages). I am not sure if that could be your issue but thought I would throw it out there.

    Thanks,

    Amy

  • I’ve had numerous problems with charges getting hung up in Transcend, though no credits per se.  If you do a power search for transactions you might find it and release it manually.  It’s status would be “held”, or something else other than “closed-settled”.

  • It’s rare but occasionally Transcend gets hung up and doesn’t process the transaction.  Call them to look into it, they have a good support team 916-577-1315.
