The cafe at our museum is changing operator and my CFO is asking if there is anyway to integrate cafe sales data with Tessitura. The only ecosystem partner for POS currently is SalesVu, which won't be used. Does anyone import this kind of data regularly? I can see setting up performances for items -- but do you need to set them up daily? What do you do if the menu changes regularly? Does anyone use a stored procedure to automate the import? Or is this a manual import every day? or week? Any insight would be appreciated.

v15 or v16?

Just to note, we signed on with Salesvu and our Cafe team HATED using it. It integrated okay with tessitura, and i was fine with it, but after 1-2 years we ended up dropping it entirely and they moved on to square.
We are still in limbo as to how to get membership discounts at the cafe.
Good question. We're still on v15, but hoping to get on v16 in the not-to-distant future (but I'm not holding my breath). The Purchases page seems tied to the SalesVu integration, and the cafe won't be using SalesVu.
Does Square integrate with Tessitura? We use it for merch sales and then just enter the bulk sales in Tessitura.
According to TN.com the only POS integration is SalesVu.
We are on version 15 currently and we use SalesVu for the Cafe, food truck, bars and our Gift Shop. It was the only vendor that integrated with Tessitura at the time we became a client last year (since September 2022). We offer Membership Discounts at these places so the integration was absolutely necessary.
We have a members line and an admissions scanner at our café. The members present their performance tickets, and the scanners detect and display their membership status. I forget all the setup details, I'm afraid.
The idea is that it is a generic repository for imported non-Tessitura non-performance sales, but for things other than SalesVu you'd have to roll your own method for getting data in there, whether that is manual uploads using CSVs and BCP, or building out your own API integration. I don't know if they have a tool like Order Import, but they should...I'm on v15 and we don't have a plan for doing this, so I'm afraid I don't have much more to offer than that.
Our cafe uses Square, which we don't physically import. Every once in a while if Tessitura is acting up we'll sell our GA or event tickets via Square, and then to get them into Tessitura we'll use the "Other System Payment" payment method option. But that only happens once in a great while (like once a month or less). We were also using "Other System Payment" or "Conversion Payment" for money that got taken in with our old ticketing system (we switched about a year ago and had rental and event payments still in the old system).
Square was set up as a business continuity tool so you can import data in.
