Hey all,
We rollover our fixed seat packages every year with our season announce date as the order date. We need to be able to report on our subscription sales by campaign day. We love the option in T-stats for reporting by date, but in order to use that to report on sales by day, we would need to be able to change the date on orders as they are processed.
We haven't been able to find a way to do it...I know you can set modes of sale to allow order date change prior to an order being saved, but is there any way for an operator to change the order date after it has been saved?
Thanks,
Angela
Hi Angela,
Not sure if this is helpful but when you set up the rollover manager you can actually leave the order date field blank so the operator could select the current day when the renewal happens.
I believe (although I've been out of ticketing for a few years) that you can set the transaction rules by mode of sale to allow the date in a new order to be fixed to the current date or editable. I can't recall if this carries over to opening up a completed or rollover order and changing the date.
Hi Angela!
In the MOS that you roll over into, you can also check “Edit Date” so that a user can change the order date as they’re processing the order. It’s not quite as effective as Beth’s suggestion of leaving the order date blank when rolling over (since that forces the entry) but it’s an option if you want to start from everything having one fixed date (e.g. season launch) and let the user change it.

Thank you SO much! That is exactly what we needed!

Actually, that control only lets you edit the date on new orders. You cannot edit the date on saved orders, including rollover orders.
