Hello,
We're looking for options on how to name the Inactive Reason for an idividual patron who's record does not qualify to be targeted for solicitations or marketing. We want to inactivate the record but are looking for examples of how we can describe the reason.
Any suggestions?
Thank you
Tatiana
Thanks Lucie,
We don’t inactivate those records either. We give them a restriction and suppress them.
We’re cleaning up sort of “dummy” records that were created as place holders.
Thanks everyone.

Just to throw a small spanner in the works…
We don’t inactivate accounts that have asked us not to contact them so that we can suppress them at the mail house from outside lists.
Lucie

We also have a constituent type called "dummy accounts", and we suppress those from mailings etc. Dummy accounts we really don't want used anymore are inactivated, but some are in use and get suppressed just by virtue of the cust type. Might be worth considering as well.
