Automatic Performance Sales Report

Hi all,

I am trying to schedule an auto report that pulls data for the performances of just one particular Production in a season. I am running into issues with the dynamic performance dates because many of our Productions in the same season run either concurrently or back to back and my reports keep pulling in shows that I don't want. Is there a way to schedule a ticket sales report that pulls in data just for a particular Production rather than by performance date?

Thank you!

  • I am not sure that this helpful but we ended up writing a custom report to solve this issue. I am happy to share if you are interested.

  • Hi Louisa,

You may want to try using Ticket Sales by Period which can be filtered by production.
This is the report we use for daily sales reports to producing partners.

  • Thank you both for your responses.

Ryan- I think that report will work for our rental companies- but internally I have a feeling people will want it broken in down into more detail. It is definitely a great starting point though.

Janna- I would love to hear more about the report you created! Could you share more information about it?

    Thanks again!

    Hi Louisa,

Our organization has provided a Shared Report (solution 312 in TASK).  It is essentially a tweaking of the canned Performance Sales Summary Report, we worked with Tess Network staff to develop it.

    From the Shared Report description:

This is a customized version of the Performance Sales Summary Report. Additional
optional parameters to choose from include selecting individual productions within
the selected seasons, selecting individual price types, and selecting individual
price categories. The report then gives you the ability to summarize sales by
performance for individual productions in a season.

We have found this to be a very effective report, both for our internal subscription season and for my numerous rental and off site clients.  To isolate price types and price categories has been particularly effective.  Both internally and for clients, this is a report that is scheduled on a regular basis.  On any given day I have at least 5-8 versions of this report scheduled.

Please feel free to contact me offline or through this thread if you have further questions.

  • Hi Janna,

I am working with the same problem, and I would be very interested in seeing your report. :)
