Mode of Sale Access

We have a new mode of sale that no one has access to as I do not want anyone transacting in this mode of sale, but it has presented an issue where our CSR's are unable to print tickets sold in this MOS. Do I have to give them full security to this MOS in order to print the tickets, or is there a way I can stop them from being able to transact in this MOS but still print any sold tickets in that MOS?

  • Hey Michele, I believe this is still a problem with modes of sale. In order for CSRs to be able to reprint tickets from an order, I believe they have to have access to that MOS. You might be able to override the ability to print tickets from the order tab and order details screen. You would have to write custom code to allow for the reprint of tickets (not just sending acknowledgements) if that is even possible. That might be the only option, other than giving access to the MOS. -Chris

    Hey Michele,

Depending on what your MOS is for, you could do something with restricting payment methods by user group. If there are a set of payment methods available to this restriced MOS that your CSR's don't have access to and the MOS requires orders to be fully paid, your CSR's won't be able to save new orders in that MOS even if they are able to open fully paid orders to print tickets. It's a bit of a work around, but might do the trick.

  • Hi Michelle: You might also have a separate, much smaller working group (CSR Admin, or similar) with access to the mode of sale. They might use the work group only to print tickets; maybe having no access to payment methods, or something similar to prevent selling in this mos. Best of luck! Kindly, Mark
