Ticket Office Incentives

Has anyone setup incentive programs to get their ticket office staff to cross-sell and up-sell when they are taking incoming phone orders?
  • Hi, we do monthly contests for subscription conversions and upsells. We usually do cash prizes, with the top 1-2 sellers getting bonuses, or for bigger subscription drives, we do longer contests with the winner getting a commission of 10% of their total conversion sales. We also try to incentivize the whole box office by encouraging everyone to participate. "If everyone gets 5 upsells this month, everyone will get a $5 Starbucks gift certificate, or zoo passes, or a pizza party." We have a Category for "conversion/sellup" to track their progress.

  • We work on commission for particular upsales and then run incentives such as highest dollars per hour, largest donation, conversion rates, the most particular upsale (e.g upgrade of seat reserve, adding additional package etc) in a two week period etc. Gift cards usually are the reward. We also have team member of the week, which is not sales based but performance for something outstanding (dealing with customer complaint with cool head) and then we issue a voucher so they can choose a hot beverage of their choice. We also use long lunches and late starts of rewards for incentives.
  • Our team love ‘friendly competitions’ and we’ve done really well offering a gift card for things like ‘who can sell the most in gift certificates’ and ‘who can gather the most microdonations during x period’.  It’s not been super-structured, but it works well for us!

    Cheers,

    Kathleen
