Gift Certificates email

Hi all, We are moving over to a TNEW website in the next month and I was wondering what everyone was using for Gift Certificate emails/PDF's etc? We currently have an option for the purchaser of the certificate to have an email sent that is not the confirmation email but a PDF certificate so they can send it on as a gift. With TNEW that doesn't exist and I was hoping there was an alternative to getting something customised? E.g. an email template that can be forwarded to a friend that looks like a gift or something similar. Thanks

Hi Dara Hogan has written a program that works with TNEW. For TNEW you get it to save the details of the Gift Certificate to a local table and then the program creates a PDF and emails it to the email address given marking in the local table that it has sent it. http://www.tessituranetwork.com/community/members/darahogan7924/default.aspx The program requires a little bit of changing but was fairly simple to modify and use. Hi Mark, looks like the new upgrade of the network has killed the link, are you able to re-provide the link regarding the pdf gift certificates? I have http://www.tessituranetwork.com/community/members/darahogan7924/default.aspx but it seems to be broken. Thanks

I've had a few requests for these files as the old profile attachments are not available on the new network website.

HI Dara,

We are ready to launch with this fantastic set up! only one question I have, when we select email the PDF, the shipping method of requesting an address still shows up. Did you hide this via LTR_TNEW_DYN_SHIPPING_METHOD or did you have to do some sort of customisation in the set up? Thanks

I only allow them to be emailed so I removed the option to allow them to be posted by the customer from the form.

I then set up LTR_TNEW_DYN_SHIPPING_METHOD to use Hold at box Office as the shipping Method is a Gift Certificate was in the basket with the Alias set to Hold Tickets at Box Office

I also changed the TNEW_HABOOnlyText in LTR_TN_EXPRESS_WEB_CONTENT to say
If your order contains Gift Certificates they will be sent to the email address provided.
Any tickets contained in the order must be picked up from box office.
