Hello -
I have a merged account that has a credit on account issue. The household was created with two individual accounts. On one of the individual accounts, there is a value on account (credit). The problem is, when trying to add an order in the household, and attempting to use that credit to pay for it, the credit isn't available as it lives in the individual account.. I also cannot add an order to the individual account either.
Any advice on how to move the money to the household account or another way around this issue?
Thank you
Brian Burke
Brilliant! That worked and noted for future reference!
Thank you so much!
Have you considered adding something to LP_CONST_MERGE that invokes AP_MOVE_TRANSACTIONS_TO_HOUSEHOLD, so that step is done for you?
I had a similar issue recently and there are two other ways to transfer funds that may work for you. The first is refunding the money on-account to cash and paying the order off with the cash or doing the same with a gift certificate.

Hi, Brian:
Have you tried the “Move Transactions to Household” command that’s under Household Operations on the Constituents menu? You run it in the Constituents module from the individual account that has the credit.

Glad that took care of it!
I’ve added a bit of code (probably cribbed from the Tessitura Technical forum) to the merge procedure so that it returns any patrons who have ticket or contribution transactions in the individual record after a merge. That way, I know to go into that record after the merge and move the transactions. I’d be happy to share it if you need it and can’t find it.
Sure, I would love to see it and you can email me it if that is easier. bb@celebrityseries.org.
Thanks again

Also, in 12.5 (and I think in 12.1), there is a setting in T_DEFAULTS called MOVE_TRANS_TO_HH_ON_MERGE – the description of which is: When set to YES, if the kept constituent has a primary affiliation to a household, transactions from the duplicate and kept constituents are moved to the household account as part of a merge.
