Globally Update CSI Entries?

Our IT staff says that it can't be done, but our colleagues know that it CAN!  Help!

    Things are usually doable, but whether they are advisable or not is another question. :D  I guess it depends on what you mean by globally update CSI entries?

    There are a couple of shared reports out there on TASK (#173 & #324) to create and close CSIs in a bulk manner. If you are talking about a global replacement of values then you start getting into a sticky wicket of making sure that you have found all the places that particular value is stored and crossing your fingers.

  • You can there are reports that can provide the functions – and since I see one has an SYS – it must be in the list

     

    Have IT look under Reports for

     

    Create Customer Issue

    Close Customer Issue

     

    We customized the second report so there is an option of whether you want to close the issue or just add action step.
