Infomaker 'Save as PDF' not functioning

Not a systemic issue - some users are unable to save Infomaker reports as PDF files. They receive an error pop-up:

"Unable to save report data to <save_location>. Disk may be full or write-protected or PDF capability is not installed"

All client machines are the same build so I don't think there is missing functionality if some users can save to PDF and some can't.

I'll submit a ticket as well just in case it is a real technical issue

  • We have been looking at using BioPDF but have not had much chance to try it out.  Their commercial product has a site license that non-profits can get for the educational price of $500 per site.

  • you can google something like: "free pdf creator download"

you will find lots of free software you can use.

    this is the first one:

  • Hello,

I am having the same issue, but now I have tried about 3 different PDF PS drivers. Each one saves the report from tessitura and when trying to open it comes up with "This file contains no pages" any ideas on how to remedy this?

  • We at the Pittsburgh cultural Trust have noticed a MAJOR issue with Acrobat 9 with saving as PDF when using the Acrobat Distiller driver that comes with the PBVM files.

By doing some research and talking to the Tessitura Network we attempted to use the HP LaserJet 4055 PS drivers instead of the Acrobat Distiller and PDFs are coming out beautifully and now we can also print out with color when printing reports to color printer, as long as you change the "printer preferences" to use color by default.

I would say follow everything else but install the Acrobat Distiller drivers as they are old.
