V11 client issue

Hello all,

I am having a bit of trouble with the new V11 client. The issue is that the client launches, allows you to log in, then does not show up. The icon shows it running in the system tray, but you cannot view the client. The only server this works properly on is the database server.

We have the db, card and seat server on one separate network and the  services layer is installed on the trusted network. Also, I have verified that the services layer is accessible from each of the servers on which the client is failing.

Does anybody have any ideas?

Thank you in advance!

Jeff

    Hello Jeff

We had similar issue for some of the desktops few days back. we found out it was the issue with wong printer set as default. Tess heldesk's reply as below, this might help...

This is because the Tessitura client will search for any available printers on the workstation using the Generic/ Text Only driver as a determination as to whether or not a BOCA printer is available.

As it was not a Boca i assume it got confused.

A standard print is set in Devices and Printers in the start menu.

Is the Tessitura drive mapped on those computers? When I have that problem it usually means the drive is not mapped.

  • Check that .net Extended is installed on the client.

  • Thank you all. Your input is greatly appreciated. It turned out to be a display issue. For some reason it was attempting to display onto a second monitor. Bizarre, but a simple fix.
