Hi there, we are in the process of testing Transcend installation and configuration on our Test server. We made some test transactions running the Transcend in emulation mode and using different payment methods. When we checked the Transcend report we found only few transactions were actually settled and closed. Most of the transactions have the status of Tran.Held.Pending. We couldn't find a pattern like which types of transactions are actually kept “held and pending” by Transcend. Did any of you face this problem while upgrading to Transcend? Could you please tell us where we should look into to solve this problem? Apart from making transactions with different types of cards and cards plus cash combination do you suggest any other types of testing before we go live?
Thanks in advance for your any help and suggestion.

I know that in emulation mode, the response codes are randomized to present the full spectrum of possible responses. Have you investigated the individual transactions? For instance, some should be rejected for insufficient funds. I'm not sure what all of the repsonses are but I imagine some of them would leave the transaction in a pending status.
Part of the random response codes for emulation mode have to do with how many transactions are in a batch. I spent eons trying to figure out why in emulation everything was held, or a certain batch would never settle, and it turned out that it was erroring intentionally not because of anything to do with the actual transactions but because that number of them in a batch was the number that triggers an error batch in emulation. I think in the Transcend UG there's table somewhere that displays what will cause what.

Thanks everybody for your feedback. Now we have a fair idea about what could possibly go wrong.
