Hello,
Does anyone have experience with shared logins?
I'm afraid the general answer is: no.
As a security consideration we do not allow this for end users. If something goes wrong you want to know exactly who it was who was logging in. Also, if you are a RAMP licensee I expect it is a terms violation for that reason.
Is this a financial concern? How many users are we talking about, and what do we want them to be able to do? We also have wanted to get more "self-service" to our FOH, but have made limited headway for a number of reasons.
Thanks for your reply. Ideally it would be 10-12 users sharing it and it would only be used for the simplest transactions (sales/exchanges/returns)
I want my FOH team to be able to assist patrons post curtain, after the Box Office has left.
Hi Calvin,
Sharing logins is a violation of PCI compliance, and is not allowed in the hosting environment. In this case, the house managers would need their own logins.
Unfortunately, those are the highest concern actions for security.
i should add that we most recently had cross-trained Team members, so i can do what i want that way. I was just curious if there was a way to do it without adding users.
Great that answers my question. Thank You.
Thank You. this was very helpful.
