For every show we are presented with at least a few tickets where either the barcode or the text on the PAH ticket is missing. When I check the PDF that we e-mailed out in the outlook sent box I can see both the barcode and text in all of these cases. Has anyone else seen this? Is there a minimum version of Adobe that our constituents need in order to print their tickets?
Thank you!
Shoshana
Hi Shoshana,
Good day.
If the customer's computer doesn't have the font of those contents, pdf file will not display properly, also they maybe missed out on PAHT.
barcode is a kind of font.
So don't use special font, try to use the most common font for PAHT.
have fun.
Ben
The barcode is rendered by PATHS and no fonts are needed on the client's computer. Everything is embedded in the PDF. However, there is a known issue with the way PAHTS creates the PDFs that causes problems in older versions of the PDF reader built into Mac OS X. Instructions on how to fix this problem were included in the 9.0.0.2 patch. Look for "Print At Home Ticketing Font Node Additions."

We include a link and information in the HTML email instructing the patron to download the latest free Adobe Reader to ensure correct printing.
