Hello!
We are trying to track our subscription renewal revenue total year-over-year to better visualize trends, and track progress to goal (forecasting is a long-term dream). However, each year we have a different on-sale date for subscriptions. I've tried the "Order Weeks Prior to Performance" and "Seat Order Date Base Value" and they are not giving me what I want. We would like to see totals by week where week equals the number of weeks from on-sale date that season (basically "zeroed out") rather than some seasons starting on week five, others on week two, etc.
Here is an example where the X axis is Seat Order Date Base Value:
Any help is appreciated!
Hi Haley,
All performances in all seasons would need to have the same "on-sale date" (Default Sales Dates Start Date) corresponding with each seasons' on-sale dates. This is probably not what you really want to do if you're already doing production level sales curves using on-sale date as the relative milestone anchor.
It sounds like we need to consider (because I've heard this need several times) an Idea for including a season level start/on-sale date and relative milestone anchor to order dates in Analytics. For example, if your Subscription On-Sale Dates align with the associated season Campaign Start Dates, it would be a simple enhancement to use that date. Alternatively, maybe it needs to be the earliest performance on-sale date from all performances within the selected season...
Hi Chris - just seconding the idea of having a season leve-start type dimension to latch onto. Our YoY seasons are also usually off by a week to a month depending on the season. I have tried using order weeks since onsale in some cases- but I don't think that is best approach.
If you or Haley could put in an Idea, it would be helpful for tracking and tackling.
I'm making one now! Check it out here: https://community.tessituranetwork.com/ideas/i/ideas/analytics-season-level-start-on-sale-date
