Ticket count issue

Please help me understand how Ticket count works in the Seats and Tickets cube of analytics. It's not pulling same data as in the canned Attendance by performance report (even accounting for the fact that analytics only updates once overnight). The count is right in a 123 indicator widget (Total Ticket sales) but not a pivot table widget (Pricetype breakdown- which also isn't showing all the pricetypes). What am I missing? We have another attendance dashboard using Ticket count and it's off too.  

          

                                         

  • My initial thought is that in your analytics dashboard you are looking at “Paid” tickets, so a zero-cost ticket might not show up.  On your Attendance report, there is not that distinction.  Do you have zero paid tickets for what you are reporting on?

  • Yes, our members receive free admission. They don’t even need to buy a ticket. We have straight to gate NSCAN to let them in. That’s why I’d expect the Attendance number to be higher than tickets sold. Let me look at that aspect closer, thanks!

  • Oh I was confused, relatively new here. Our members usually get into events for free but not this one. So no Zero-value tickets in here.
     
    The pricetype breakdown might not have correct ticket count because it’s not listing all pricetypes but why? The filter on the right has “Select All” for every single pricetype. There are 10 and they’ve all had sales with them.

  • Hey Shelley.  Looks like difference between Pricetype Breakdown and Atendance by Performance is one seat Designated Driver - maybe that was purchased in the hours between your last analytics load around midnight and when you ran the report?

    Those missing pricetypes (with the red line) sound like a filter on the widget it your Indicator is showing different values.  Your Total Ticket Count value is not Total Ticket Paid Count so comps should be ok there. 

    Also your 13+ are there but your 21+ , Disco and Package are missing.  Open the widget, check the Filters tab (not design) on the left check if there are no pricetype category filters in there.  If you want to pop over the .dash I can have a look
