Hello All,
I wanted to ask those that bulid and set up the season, shows, offers, price-types, Pricemaps, fees, GL, etc...how many workers do you have doing this, how many shows in your season, and how many seats does your facility hold?
We have two people who know how to do this—our ticket office manager and me. We currently do 30 shows a year and produce in two 2400-seat theaters.

We are a Performing Arts Center with approximately 450 events in various venues ranging from 200 seats to 2500 seats and around 450,000 attendees per year.
There are 6 people who build performances, GLs, price maps, etc. One additional person can build offers, and price types. Only a couple of us build new facilities, and only three of us have access to TX_MOS_PRICETYPE.
All of us are in the ticketing department.

We have 8 shows in our season currently – 5 in our mainstage which holds 842, and 3 in our smaller space which holds 282.
I’m the only person who actually builds the new season, any new facility, and the only one who routinely adds in new price types and shows/performances. Price maps, offers, and fees can be added by myself or any of the 3 of our box office managers. Only 2 people have access to add GLs – our Tessitura guru for all of the Ticketing GLs, and one person who adds Devo GLs. I should say that although our Tessitura guru has the ability to do any of these things, she doesn’t do so on a regular basis.

Hi,
We have 6 main performance spaces between two buildings (that seat anywhere between 50-1500 seats), and will set up upwards of 300 productions/875 ticketed events per year.
While there are three sales supervisors who will occasionally set up a show or offer, I tend to set up the vast majority of seasons/shows as well as all front-end Tess maintenance and training when I’m not being a Sales Manager J

Thanks All. I was pretty much looking into seeing how many workers were involved in those tasks.
We have one person who does the actual setup of 12 shows that run in rep in 3 theatres (including one site-specific play that's a new experiment this year where the audience travels to multiple locations for different acts or scenes of the play.) One theatre holds about 1200 people, another about 600, and between 200-350 in the third theatre depending on seat configuration (the seats can be moved to accommodate a production.) That person who sets up the season uses technology written by our IT staff to populate the production's performances within a season based on a manually set up 'template' performance. Then the process of double checking includes 2-3 people looking at setup from different angles (i.e. reports.)
At Cal Performances we have 5 main venues, and this season we have 57 productions and a total of 111 performances in our presentation season, as well as 67 productions/89 performances of rental events. All production elements are set up by the Box Office Manager, with the assistance of a custom report that helps automate the process of spewing out the unnaturally large number of price maps that we use.
I think she likes to reserve about a week for setting up our presentation season, especially as I think there's a fair amount of consultation on that, while rentals filter in throughout the year.

I as the Tessitura Administrator build the season myself. We have 4 theatres (1833 seats, 1080 seats, 480 seats & 260 seats). We are a repertory company producing 599 performances this season. We also set up all of our ancillary items (parking, picnics, hearing assistance receivers, tours, enrichment events, drink tickets etc) as performances in Tessitura. Our season build begins usually in September each year and finishes in mid-November. I also receive some assistance from our Senior Developer, and two other people (one who proofs everything and the other who creates and applies all the hold code maps.)
