Abandon Cart emails and dynamic data in emails

Hi Everyone!

We are planning on implementing Abandon Cart emails for the remainder of our season and I came across the below article. Oliver was talking about specifically dynamic data being pulled into the emails and wondering if anyone else could help guide me on this? I have used dynamic data but in a very simplified manner and am hoping if anyone has more experience we could connect.

  • We use Prospect2 but there could be some overlap if they use SQL scripts.  What I do is generally markup as much web content around productions and performances with content/imagery/web links. Also season types come in the SQL as well.  In our email if those fields contain data - they get populated with those dynamic content fields.  If there is no data, we will alter the content of the email based on conditional content.  Generally, we have 1 email where there are conditional content blocks everywhere,  and the whole look/feel can alter based on content criteria item being met or not met from Tessitura.
