Tracking Meal Selections via Elevated Events

Hi all,

Anyone have any suggestions for keeping tabs on food selection for elevated events?  We're starting to use elevated events to track guests and table seating for our gala.  Our dinner guests will have several food choices to select from in advance, and we're looking for a way to track which options people want at the dinner.

  • Hi Tegan,

I've used the Performance Seat field for this info, going with a system such as:

    Chicken
    Beef
    Veg

And handle special requests like this:

    Veg GF DF

(gluten free/dairy free). When you save the event listing report to excel, you can easily pivot the menu column so it tallies up all your meals.

    Hope that's helpful.

  • We have set up our menu choices as levels.  We also had our database administrator add totals by level to the bottom of our event report – makes finalizing our counts pretty straightforward.

  • Hi, Tegan:

The easiest thing to do is to use the Notes field in your reservation or, better, if you’re not using the Performance Seat field in the Guests area for anything, put your food choices there. That way, you can match guest to food, by table, easily using the Event Listing report.
