Hi all,
We are currently paying our part-time box office/front desk staff through the end of month and then figuring out what happens beyond that (it is still being decided). They aren't working, as the museum and box office are closed and our full-time team is handling refunds/donations. I'm wondering if anyone has good ideas for engaging staff while they aren't coming in to work? Some ideas we've had so far are sending update emails with fun things in them and/or maybe doing a video conference? I would like to keep them connected, updated, and feeling like they are still a part of the team!
Thanks!
Liz
If they have remote access to Tessitura there is always managing Duplicates.
You can also have folks working on up-skilling.
We are doing a bunch of Liberty Science Center University (LSCU) activities right now.
There are a bunch of useful Training and Webinars available.
For a bit of social connection within our teams, we've arranged a few virtual lunches this week. It's been really great to have a place for the water cooler conversations to continue!
Great idea!
Cincinnati Ballet staff are having several TEAMS meetings weekly -So far a Virtual Happy hour Thursday, Dad Jokes& Coffee (and general updates) with our CEO on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, Fitness Friday (we did some stretches today), Some Meet the new Work from home coworkers posts, Beverage and Recipe Voting and a lunchtime gathering. Being the regular remote worker it has been great to see more faces (I'm in Atlanta GA) so I hope some of these new practices continue when we are on the flip side of this.
Mary, what platform are you using for everyone to gather virtually? Right now we use Skype for Business for small meetings. Would that work with 30-40 people?
Shelly - Microsoft Teams and I was on a Teams Video with 47 last night.
We don't have Office365. Do you think that could still work for us?
You could add the free version - With the free flavor of Microsoft Teams, you get unlimited chats, audio and video calls
You may want to look at ZOOM
I Googled it and noticed a free version without need for Office365. Is anyone using that? I wonder is it would be easy to implement with everyone working from home.
We use G-Suite. Google Hangout meet is working well for us at this time.
St. Louis Symphony is also using Microsoft Teams.
