Round up donations

Hello,

I was wondering if/how people are processing round up donations? For example, a customer has paid £27.75 for tickets - and we want to suggest they round up to £30.

Or a customer has paid £84 and we want suggest they round up to £100.
We are looking at doing it through the BO via Quicksale but wondering if I could take a peek, get some feedback at how people do it online.
Thanks
Kelly
  • Hi Kelly

We have a customisation on our TNEW site checkout page for roundups. It gives the customer a drop down menu so they can select how much of a roundup they give, eg round up to the nearest £1, £5, £20 etc. and tells them what that extra amount is.

The customisation is clever as if we are prompting them to renew their membership it won't also ask for a donation and the membership renew ask prioritises over the donation ask.

Let me know if you want any more info.

  • Thanks Nicola!

We don't have TNew. :-( But good to know a web solution is possible.

Do you use Quicksale to do it at the Box Office? If so, does that work well? Do your staff happily click between that and the Order Details Tab?

  • Hi Kelly

We're not on V12.5 yet - we're just about to start testing and aiming for May. Happy to report back when we are up and running. Are you guys using Quicksale?

    Hey Kelly

We do it online which was some TNEW customisation that handsome devil Mark Steel did for us.

It was a system table that Mark created for us. Drop me an email if you like and I can probably explain a bit more.

    Cheers
