What we've done in the past is to have our Development folks draw up Gift Certificates in Tessitura for the amount of a given ticket / encounter /show, and raffled those off. The guests would then be able to choose their date to visit later on, using the Certificate as payment.
One option (I haven't researched this fully) would be to sell a spot into the performance in question without a constituent, then when the winner(s) are chosen, adding them into that initial order, then sending out a confirmation/set of PAH tickets.
Git Certifs are a great idea! Did you just "pay" for them with a special payment method? Also, anyone know a way to issue them in bulk, or are you creating them one at a time?
