Give me your maps, your papers, your directions instructions yearning to lead, The lost guests of your teeming campus.

Seriously though,

We're currently reviewing our printed map available for guests and I have a question and a request:

-Has anyone attempting going paper map free and relying purely on their physical signage on grounds?  If so, what has the guest response been?

-Would anyone be interested in mailing me a sample of your printed map to add to our collection of interesting map-ish ideas?

Thanks in advance for any assistance!

(apologies for the cheezy subject line).

    Hi Melanie,

We launched a mobile map a couple of years ago. It wasn't built for multiple mobile platforms, only Apple, and we didn't see much usage on the part of our guests. After assessing usage and maintenance resources we've decided to discontinue it as of next week, and return to the idea in the future when we can dedicate more resources.

I'll email you an example of our printed general audience program guide/map and one of our foreign language guides. We have maps in multiple languages, as well as maps for guests visiting as part of a tour company who have limited time.

There are a few directories in the building that include a map at "forks in the road" if you will, in places where guests need to chose their next route.
