My Tickets Issues

Hello!

We are in the process of setting up and testing the My Tickets feature on TNMP and I have run into a couple of issues and wanted to see if we set up something wrong, or if the app does not support the following scenarios:

  1. If I sell the same performance using two line-items or two orders, it will not render a barcode. Instead it gives me the error: Unable to load “OK”. This happens regardless of whether I use the same price type or different price types.
  2. If I return two seats, and pull two seats in a different line-item at the same price type, it renders a barcode. However, if I return two seats and sell three seats in a different line-item at the same price type, it gives me the same error.
  3. We have an event that we do not want displayed in My Tickets. Is there a way to mask events without removing them from the History?

Thanks so much for any assistance or feedback you can provide!

Sincerely,

  • Hi Norman,

Looking through your examples, it sounds like there's some things we need to investigate in TASK with our developers as this is not what should be happening. As for your last item, you can exclude certain events from displaying barcodes by mode of sale.

    Documentation Link

    1. In the My Tickets MOS to Ignore field, enter a comma separated list of Mode of Sale ID numbers that you wish to exclude (ex: 1, 2, 3). Completed orders in these ignored modes of sale will not appear in the My Tickets section.

    Thank you,

    Melissa

  • Thank Melissa for the prompt response! Thank you so much for investigating our issue. I will continue to test on my end and let you know anything else I can find. As for as the limiting performances. Our issue cannot be solved by MOS masking. We have two examples of where this has become a concern. The first is our Broadway Subscription fees. We set these up as events and are attached to the appropriate subscription package. No actual MOS is assigned to the fees performance and we use a Subscription MOS to sell our packages. We intend to allow our Subscribers use mobile barcoding and we do not want the fees event to appear in My Tickets. In summary, we want to mask the Fees event, but cannot mask it because we do not want to mask the Subscription MOS in which it will reside. The second is we have an event that we use for patrons to add themselves to a Subscription wait list. There are several reasons why using an event to manage the wait list makes the most sense, one of them being the way our web interface works. So this event needs to be available in our standard sales MOS, but we do not want it visible. It would be nice if any performance in which a valid ticket design was not present for would not show up in My Tickets. As of now, all performances do, which causes a bit of confusion. Thanks so much again for all your help, Melissa! -Norm
