Hello everyone,
I've been reading up on the "My Ticket Feature" functionality and would really like to use it. I'm probably way over-thinking this but, is it really as simple as using an existing ticket design element number in Tessitura and then the bar code element ID? My brain wants to say it's not that easy but it would be awesome if it really was. Is anyone using the My Ticket Feature yet? How are your scanners reading the bar code in the app? We have found that the PDF of PAH tickets is not easy for our N-SCAN readers to see on a patron's phone.
I'm excited to hear your feedback.
Hi Christopher,
Suzie D here from the Web Products team. I'm also interested to hear how others in the community feel about the feature, but in the meantime, I can weigh in regarding set up.
Believe it or not, setting up the "My Tickets Feature" really is as easy as determining what ticket designs you would like to display on TNMP and adding the ticket design element ID and the bar code element ID to your TNMP Control Panel. Here is a link to the online documentation for the feature.
As far as scanning the phone, we suggest that, if ushers are having trouble, the should ask patrons to turn up their screen brightness for most effective scanning.
Hope that helps!
All the best,
Suzie
Hi Suzie,
Thank you for that nugget of information about the screen brightness and for helping me know I was reading how easy it is correctly. I never thought to do that. Do you know if this helps with PAH tickets in PDF form on a phone as well? If so, I'm going to pass this on to our house management team so they don't have to send patrons back for ticket reprints.
Also, do you know if there will ever be the ability to direct TNMP towards a test environment so that we can add this new functionality and test it without having to use live data?
Chris
My pleasure! From what I understand, adjusting the screen brightness should help with the PAH/PDF tickets as well. :)
(Oh gosh, I am so happy to be able to tell you this info as well!) Development is finished with building out a stand alone test site for TNMP! We are just adding the final touches to the updated documentation and then will be sending an eblast about all the details.
You may actually already see your TNMP Control Panel updated with a TEST MODE link on the left hand navigation menu...
Seriously Suzie.....you just made me so happy. My co-workers didn't understand why I squeeled a little in excitement. Um...also....that whole copy from test to live on the control panel once you are happy with your changes.....GENIUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
