Hello All!
I have an organization that requested the functionality to "buy your ticket and then buy one for another, the theatre will give it to a patron unable to afford a ticket" with the suggested price being $20 as they have choose your own pricing. So buy one ticket buy another ticket for donation.
Any ideas on how to accomplish this in both Tessitura and TNew?

In case you missed it, Chelsea brought this up in the DBA Community Group last month and there were a few alternative ideas there.

Glad my issue isn't unique!
We ended up setting ours up as a standalone fee. Then we run a daily Ticketing Fee Revenue report to see how many physical passes we can add to the pile. Once a patron needs one, we hand a physical pass to them, they fill it out (it has an email spot so our marketing team can email them about all of our free days/times), they hand the pass back to our Front Desk team which goes in Marketing's mailbox at the end of the day. In the Order screen we just use the Pay It Forward ticket type in our GA performance, which is $0.
Once we run out of physical passes we have to wait for generous people to buy more.
Silly and helpful. That's my brand!
Like Chelsea, I'm glad when my issues can help someone else (other than my therapist into early retirement).
Also threads blowing up helps "big sibling" identify community needs and unveil features like PWYW and the cancellation utility

Nevermind -- after I pasted the URL I realized that Internal Ideas (yes, there's an internal ideas board that was accidentally public for a bit) are showing up in search results. I'm tagging Meredith Woolard (she/her) and Chris Wallingford who've been working on the function of the Ideas Board/Communities pages. Strange request: can we see the internal idea so we can paste a version for the user's idea board?

Internal Ideas are our way of segmenting staff ideas, votes and comments from those of the Community members. It was an unintentional side effect of the recent website upgrade that internal ideas appeared in your search results. Thank you for mentioning it. I hope to fix it to the expected behavior from prior to the website upgrade.
