Recurring Donors and Saving the Credit Card.

We recently converted to TMS. We were excited to have the ability to save credit cards for online  recurring/monthly donor sign up. However, we have discovered that many donors are not checking the box to have their card saved. So we have to call them to get the credit card. 

I am checking to see if anyone else has had this problem and what solutions they have used. We can add some text the payment screen but we can't make it conditional so the reminder text appears on every transaction.

  • Yeah, that was something we uncovered during a project review to automate recurring memberships. Because of this, we are delaying the implementation of that feature until Tessitura includes a fix for the checkbox. As we understand it, the only thing that is available at this time is to message the need to check the box to save the card. 

    We were told that a future release (not sure which one) will include the ability to force the check box to be checked.
