Event Registration

Hi everyone! Happy Friday! I am curious about what platforms you use for event registration. We tried using Donate2 to sell tickets and tables for an event this past year and it didn't work well for us. I'm curious if I could be using Donate2 better, or if there is a different program you recommend. Thanks!

  • Kaitlin, we use CVENT and have for many years. We are new to Tessitura and will go live on v16 in September. But we have been assured that we will be able to integrate some of our event data with Tessitura. We're going to copy down seating assignments to the Elevated Events and general event info in to Activities, so it will be double entry for some events in Tessitura. We're including event information in Tessitura for staff to see the history of events since only our Events staff have access to CVENT. Payments, registration, web interface, agenda, event app, etc., will continue in CVENT. We can see incomplete registrations, whether they visited the web page, viewed the email, etc. It is very robust. They charge by the registration, and are helpful when you need it. They have a wonderful training program and a good user community as well. We currently use Donate2 for online giving which seems to work okay for that purpose, but how they handle the enhanced questions is a little clunky and wouldn't work for us for events given our scope.
